Terms & Conditions

Effective use. Clear responsibilities. Responsible participation.

On this page

These Terms & Conditions govern access to and use of Ummiid, subject to applicable law. They explain the responsibilities of users, the rules for fundraising and donations, payment processing, refunds, account security and the platform’s role.

By using Ummiid, you agree to comply with these Terms and the policies applicable to the features you use.

1. Platform Operator

Ummiid is operated by:

Decentra Innovation Lab Private Limited

  • CIN: U62013DL2023PTC414076
  • GSTIN: 07AAKCD0202E1ZB
  • Registered Office: 55 Gali No. 2, Near Saket, Said-ul-Ajaib, New Delhi 110017, India
  • General Company Contact: [email protected]
  • Ummiid Support and Grievance Contact: [email protected]

Ummiid’s services are limited to the functionality actually made available on the platform and the applicable operating arrangements.

2. Eligibility and Acceptance

Users must provide accurate information and comply with applicable laws and platform requirements.

You must not create an account using another person’s identity or access an account without authorisation.

Where a user cannot legally enter into the relevant agreement, the applicable legal requirements concerning age, parental or guardian involvement and eligibility must be followed.

Certain services may require additional identity, beneficiary, organisational or payment verification.

3. User Accounts and Security

Users are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and authentication methods.

Notify Ummiid promptly if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse of your account.

Ummiid may request information reasonably necessary for account security, campaign review, payout verification, fraud prevention or legal compliance.

Users must not share passwords, OTPs, UPI PINs, CVVs or other payment-authentication secrets through ordinary support channels.

4. Campaign Organiser Responsibilities

Campaign organisers must have the appropriate authority to create a campaign, represent the beneficiary and manage funds for the disclosed purpose.

Organisers must provide accurate information, respond to legitimate review requests and communicate material changes where appropriate.

Misrepresentation of a beneficiary, intended use of funds, campaign verification status or tax eligibility is prohibited.

5. Donations and Payment Confirmation

Donations are subject to the payment methods and transaction procedures supported by Ummiid.

A donation is treated as successful only after the applicable payment confirmation has been validated by the platform’s payment-processing system.

An initiated, pending or failed payment must not be represented as a completed donation.

If money appears to have been debited without a corresponding successful donation confirmation, contact [email protected] with the transaction reference.

6. Withdrawal/Payout Processing Fee and Payouts

The current platform policy provides for a withdrawal/payout processing fee of 5% plus applicable GST at 18% on the fee, calculated on the relevant eligible withdrawal/payout amount.

No additional Ummiid platform fee is specified under this policy.

The applicable fee calculation must be disclosed before the user confirms the payout request.

Example for an eligible payout of ₹10,000:

  • Payment Processing Fee at 5%: ₹500
  • GST at 18% on the fee: ₹90
  • Total deduction: ₹590
  • Net payout: ₹9,410

This example assumes the fee is calculated on the full ₹10,000 eligible payout and that the stated GST treatment applies. The amount displayed to the user must reflect the actual transaction calculation.

This 5% fee and GST on that fee apply to the withdrawal/payout processing stage. They are separate from the 10% Gift Card purchase processing fee shown in the Affiliate Distribution projection. The projection treats the purchase fee as tax-inclusive; its tax and accounting treatment requires professional confirmation.

Payout requests are intended to be processed within 24 hours after the request is complete, the necessary checks are complete and the request is approved. This is a processing target, not a guarantee of bank credit within 24 hours.

Bank settlement, verification, payment-provider procedures, incomplete documentation, disputes, reversals and legal restrictions may affect timing.

7. Refunds and Reversals

Donations made to support a campaign are ordinarily final and are not refundable merely because a donor changes their mind, the campaign does not reach its target or the donor later disagrees with campaign progress.

However, this policy does not remove any refund, reversal, chargeback, consumer-protection or other remedy required by applicable law or relevant payment-provider rules.

Requests may be reviewed where a payment was duplicated, incorrectly processed, reported as unauthorised or confirmed as failed despite a debit.

Each request is assessed using transaction records, settlement status, relevant campaign circumstances, payment-provider procedures and applicable law. Submission of a request does not guarantee approval.

Where a refund or reversal is legally required or approved under the applicable transaction rules, Ummiid will follow the relevant process and communicate the outcome through an appropriate channel.

8. Campaign Review and Platform Safety

Ummiid may review campaigns and account activity where there are credible concerns about fraud, misleading information, unauthorised fundraising, security, prohibited activity or legal compliance.

Subject to applicable law, protective action may include requesting documents, restricting features, pausing a campaign, delaying a payout, restricting access or removing content.

Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, the affected user should receive an explanation and an appropriate way to contact support or request a review.

Platform action does not by itself constitute a final finding of criminal wrongdoing.

9. Content and Intellectual Property

Users retain the rights they lawfully hold in the content they submit.

By submitting campaign content, users authorise Ummiid to host, process, display and share that content as reasonably necessary to operate and administer the campaign and platform, subject to their permissions, applicable law and the Privacy Policy.

This permission is not an unrestricted transfer of ownership or authorisation to use sensitive information for unrelated purposes.

Users must not submit content that infringes another person’s rights or unlawfully discloses their personal information.

10. Availability of Services

Ummiid will make reasonable efforts to operate its services reliably. However, uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.

Maintenance, security measures, technical failures, third-party services and payment-provider issues may affect service availability.

Nothing in these Terms removes any responsibility or remedy that applicable law requires.

Users should make informed decisions based on the information available and contact support if they notice a discrepancy.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or any other matter where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

Any limitation of liability must comply with applicable Indian law, including mandatory consumer protections.

12. Account Suspension and Closure

Users may request account closure through the available process, subject to pending transactions, lawful record-retention requirements, disputes and other legitimate obligations.

Ummiid may suspend or terminate access where permitted by law and the applicable terms, particularly where continued access presents a credible safety, security, fraud or compliance risk.

Closing an account does not automatically cancel a pending transaction, settle an outstanding payout or erase records that must lawfully be retained.

13. Complaints and Grievance Handling

For Ummiid support and grievances:

[email protected]

For general company matters:

[email protected]

Complaints should include a concise description of the issue and relevant information, such as the campaign URL, transaction reference, date and amount, where applicable.

Ummiid aims to maintain a documented complaint-handling process. Any applicable statutory grievance requirements and response timelines must be followed.

Legally required grievance-officer details must be published once the relevant appointment and particulars have been confirmed.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are subject to applicable Indian law.

Any final jurisdiction and dispute-resolution provisions must be consistent with the operator’s circumstances and applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to unlawfully restrict statutory rights.

15. Changes to These Terms

Material changes should be published with an updated effective date. Where required, users will be notified or asked to provide fresh consent.

Changes must not be represented as retroactively removing rights users already have under applicable law.
